The University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT - formerly the UK Clinical Admissions Test or UKCAT) is an exam that is used as part of the application process for medical and dental schools throughout the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. The score you attain is used as a determiner of your ability to undertake such a degree and to behave professionally in a medical environment. It consists of five sections: verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning, decision analysis, and situational judgement. The latter tests whether the candidate would make the correct decisions within a medical or dental environment and thus be suitable for a career of this nature.
