Our next Teacher Training Day will be on Monday 22nd September 2025 .

Sessions run from 11am-4pm (UK time).

Venue

The training will take place at Meridien House, Marylebone, London and online.

Trainer

The training will be run by Martine Gagnon , Director of College Counselling at UES Education.

Audience

This event is for teachers handling US applications, including Overseas Universities Advisors, Heads of Careers, and Heads of Sixth Form.

Training Sessions & Benefits

Event Format & Sessions

The event will be held in-person and online in an interactive format. It will comprise the following sessions:

A Guide to the US Application Process for Schools (Advisor level: beginner to intermediate)
- This event is CPD certified and attendees will receive a certificate after the event.
Catered Lunch (and informal chance to connect with colleagues): 1-2pm

The fee includes training materials and, for in-person attendees, a catered lunch.

Cost per Delegate

In-person: £120 + VAT
Online: £70 + VAT

20% discount for subsequent places; substantial discounts for state schools.

Comprehensive Guide to US Applications

Martine Gagnon will take you through our comprehensive, CPD certified guide to US Applications (attendees will receive a certificate). The session is live, interactive, and designed to help you master all aspects of US Applications, including:

Promoting US applications within the school
Guiding students on college choice
Financial aid and scholarships
The Common Application and other portals
Standardised testing (SAT/ACT)
Essays and interviews
Letters of recommendation
School reports and transcripts
Application strategies (Early Decision, etc.)
Common case studies

Teachers will receive a resource pack that includes our advisor guide and sample transcripts.
