Whether you're preparing for the GMAT or the GRE, our Group Courses are an excellent way to get to grips with the exams, very quickly.

This course will cover the foundational skills you need for the GMAT and accelerate your comprehension of high-level topics, offering a chance to learn in a fun and stimulating environment and network with like-minded, motivated individuals with similar goals.

The course is designed for those with a basic understanding of the Verbal and Quantitative GMAT/GRE sections and the question types. The course assumes that students have some fundamental knowledge of mathematics – are able to do addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with 2-digit integers, are familiar with square roots, and are competent with the “order of operations”. For students who feel less capable in these areas, a “pre-work” packet will be sent to help get them up to speed ahead of the course.

This course is also relevant for students preparing for the GRE due to the large degree of overlap between GRE and GMAT concepts. The main concept difference between the tests is that the GMAT includes Sentence Correction questions, a category that is not covered on the GRE. GRE students will be given an option to review vocabulary in groups (along with strategies to help maximize their efforts in this area) during GMAT sentence correction time.

GMAT

This course is targeted at those familiar with the GMAT, who may have done some studying or even taken an official exam, and looking to maximize their score this fall in time for “round 3” applications in Spring 2021. If you're just starting out with studying for the GMAT, the course is still a great way to get started, but you’ll want to budget time ahead of the course to work on the pre-work packet to help you come in with good momentum.

Our GMAT Courses aim to thoroughly prepare students for the test with:

  • 16 course hours involving active teaching and engaging practice with the GMAT
  • Dynamic course instructor attuned to each student’s individual needs, with a maximum of 8 students on each course
  • All course materials
  • Access to the UES GMAT online tool, including 4 CAT exams and a question bank of 5,500 questions with written and video answer explanations.
  • Individualized feedback - including for 2 practice exams
  • Feedback on strengths/weaknesses and suggested study areas after the course

*Note: For the near future our GMAT/GRE courses will be held online, via Zoom.

GRE

Our course is relevant for students preparing for the GRE due to the large degree of overlap between GRE concepts and GMAT concepts. On the quantitative side, the concept coverage is almost identical. On the verbal side, the course will cover Sentence Correction questions, a category that is not covered on the GRE. However, knowledge of sentence structure and separating a main clause out of a complex sentence is a quite useful tool for GRE reading questions, and GRE students will be given an option to review vocabulary in groups (along with strategies to help maximize their efforts in this area) during GMAT sentence correction time.

Our  GRE Courses aim to thoroughly prepare students for the test with:

  • 16 course hours involving active teaching and engaging practice with the GMAT
  • Dynamic course instructor attuned to each student’s individual needs, with a maximum of 8 students on each course
  • All course materials
  • Individualized feedback - including for 2 practice exams
  • Feedback on strengths/weaknesses and suggested study areas after the course
